This is a great idea and very easy. Plus you have just inspired me. My nieces wedding is going to be a black and white affair. After seeing this, I am thinking Oreo cookies arranged in the same manner. That and maybe black and white bows stuck in here and there.

I love this idea so much! I think this is a perfect centerpiece and it's really easy to customize for wedding decor, since macarons can be made in basically any color.
