DIY Beachy Vibe Wedding Sign
This DIY Beachy Vibe Wedding Sign captures the relaxed feel of a beach wedding no matter how far inland you are. Celebrate in style by decorating your reception hall with a Mr. and Mrs. wedding sign to place near the bride and groom. The cool blue color of the paint conjures up visions of a crystal-clear ocean, and you'll have fun crafting these sea life shapes to attach after the painting's all been done. Make sure everyone knows who the newly-married couple is with this DIY wooden sign, whether you're having a beachfront ceremony or just channeling that tropical fun!

Instructions
-
Make the 5 starfish and 2 sand-dollars by heating a Mod Melt stick in a mini high temp glue gun. Squeeze the hot melt into the mold and fill to the top. It will self level. Wait 7 min. and when cool pop out. Trim around the melt if you have any rough edges.
-
Paint the starfish with Mandarin Satin. Use two coats if necessary. Once dry lightly paint the very top with a few taps of Royal Gold. This will add depth to the starfish.
-
Paint the sand-dollars with Pearl White paint. Use two coats if necessary.
-
Make random shaped faux beach glass by squeezing hot Mod Melts onto the craft mat in oval and beach glass shapes. Allow to cool. Paint each one a solid color using Aquamarine, Blue Topaz and ice Blue.
-
Paint the wood plaque with Mod Podge Sheer Color. In the center, paint Mr. & Mrs. With Pure Black and a detail paintbrush. Allow to dry.
-
Hot glue the faux beach glass, starfish and sand-dollars to the plaque. Hot glue a burlap ribbon to the back to create a hanger.

This is a great idea. It's easy and the visit is minimal. But I want it to fit in with the decor of the bride and grooms. I will add things that are more new englandish. I will let the wood remain unpainted and just apply polyurathane . It brings out the grain .
