Finally a use for all of the little bottles of personal items that I have gotten at hotels that I have stayed at. I have a couple dozen of them. That way I can put a sign that says you are welcome to take them with you. Thanks for a great idea.

My cousin had a basket like this in the bathroom at her wedding, and it was a lifesaver! I used some hairspray from the basket, and I saw some other guests get some use of out it, as well. Like others have said, this is also great to have at home when you have overnight guests.

This is a great idea and I have done similar for overnight guests... From personal experience, it is helpful to add some needles and two shades of thread, safety pins, a few buttons, band aids, antiseptic or hydrogen peroxide, and if an outdoor summertime event, some calamine and or hydrocortisone cream and aloe Vera gel. This is a great and considerate idea! Add a few packs of gum and mints too!

This is something I sort of do in both of my bathrooms anyway in case a visitor needs something they may not have with them. The big difference is, I use large mouthed plastic jars with lids to keep everything in one place to stay. For this special occasion, Ill use some of my Longaberger Baskets for the supplies. Im also thinking of a pretty hand towel or two or three, in case needed and they can also be taken home. FYI, I often get sample sized beauty products from manufacturers Ill also add. What would you do?

I might leave sample size over-the-counter medications such as Imodium, Tylenol, and individually wrapped cough lozenges. Perhaps a small comb, toothbrush/paste, facial cleansing wipes, Q-tips. These items could be in a smaller basket beside the main basket.

If the visitor is an overnight guest, depending on their age, I would leave a couple of tampons, individually wrapped panty liners and/or small pads. Emery boards, razor/shaving cream for men, men/women deodorant. I am "house mother" for a 3 day retreat for 13 - 16 people. I provide multiple small sized items for "creature comfort" for those who may have left such items behind.
